Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT)

 

The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is conducted twice a year by the Indian Air Force to recruit officers for Flying, Technical, and Non-Technical branches. It is open to graduates and engineering candidates who meet the eligibility criteria. The selection process includes a written exam, AFSB interview, and medical examination. Educational Qualification

For the Flying Branch, candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics and hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 60% marks, or possess a B.E./B.Tech degree with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.

For the Technical Branch, there are two available posts: Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) and Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical). Applicants must have a four-year engineering degree from a recognized university or must have passed Sections A and B of the Associate Membership Examination.

For the Ground Duty Branch, a three-year graduation degree or a postgraduate degree/equivalent diploma is required for administration and logistics roles. For accounts, candidates should have a degree in commerce or a postgraduate qualification like CA, ICWA, or M.Com.

 

 

AFCAT Examination Pattern

The AFCAT exam pattern comprises 100 questions and each question carries 3 marks. Besides, this exam has four sections as given below:
